Featured Artist - Dawid Trzepizor

Hello! 

Today is the day when we would like to start a new Picture This! tradition. 

Every month on the 25th, we will introduce to you a new, amazing Featured Artist who will share with us their interpretation of the current challenge. 

Hopefully, they will also encourage you to make the best of the last couple of days and enter our challenge.

This month, we have for you someone very special - Dawid Trzepizor. There are still not many crafty males amongst us but Dawid has been 'at it' for quite a while now and has recently become DT member for some pretty awesome Polish crafting companies.

'I have been crafting ever since I can remember; I started from knitting and cross-stitch. With time, I ventured into other techniques until, about 6 years ago, I found scrapbooking. I started by making cards but then I discovered mixed media. There was no turning back. I love using paints, gesso and various inks. 

Currently, I am lucky enough to work for the following DTs: 13arts, Essy-floresy, Lemoncraft and Off the Rails Scrapbooking.' - says David about his crafty past.

Here's what he says about the project he prepared for our mixed-media challenge:

'Today, I have made a LO with a picture taken during a summer trip. To start, I added some texture in the background by layering strips of scrap paper and covering them with white gesso. I added a stencil design, some green paint and a couple of stamps. On this base, I created a cluster using various papers, tags, black sisal and kebab sticks. To finish, I added some black flatback strips and black ink splatters. It was so much fun working on this project. I hope you like it and thank you for having me! I hope to see you on my blog and in other crafty ventures.'
